Study Skills Techniques. A brief Study Skills lesson will be taught during library time each week for students in 1st-8th grades. These Study Skills are also incorporated into regular curriculum and have proven to be essential skills for academic success not only at St. John Paul II, but also into high school and college. The Master of Arts in Library and Information Science requires 36 semester hours of graduate credit with a grade of or above in all coursework applied towards the degree where a letter grade is assigned, and the successful completion of a career development portfolio or thesis. The 36 semester hours include 15 hours earned in core courses and 21 hours of SLIS elective .
